I tried both the gels and the drink mix., and used them for my last race (IM Cairns) and several training sessions since then. The gels are super easy to consume due to their liquid consistency (forget about dealing with sticky gels). They’re super tasty but still tasting naturally, so you can have many (like for an IM) without getting sick of them. I love the raspberry one with 30gr of carbs in a super compact package. The drink mix tastes the same and and goes equally great with the tummy. Highly recommended!!
Used them in the Cairns Ironman and enjoyed as a great alternative and good to have something solid in your stomach, after sloshing around gels and electrolytes for 8.5 hours previous on the swim, ride as I worked into the first part of the run.
I purchased Mapleroo from the expo at Ironman. I have forgotten my Endura. After chatting with Eric, I was comfortable that this would not upset my gut, even though I hadn't used it before. I used it in combination with Cliff bars, included some electrolytes, and about 100 calories per 500 ml, and I used a 750 ml bottle. Taste is very Maple as you would expect, but it worked really well. I felt strong during the ride and back in the headwind to Cairns, so other than a minor drafting penalty, I was happy with the product.
These energy gels are an absolute must have for endurance athletes. They delivered precisely what was needed to conquer the grueling 90km of my Ironman 70.3, setting me up to power through the run segment without a single tummy issue.

This is by far the best energy drink I’ve ever used. It sits so well in my sensitive gut and you don’t end up with flavour fatigue because of its subtle (yet delicious) flavour.

I bought the MapleRoo energy gels (along with waffles) to trial before the upcoming Nepean Tri. I found the gels to be gentle on my sensitive stomach, tasted good (I particularly enjoyed the maple coffee, I often find coffee flavoured gels too strong flavoured) and kept me going strong! Highly recommend!
