Sport has always been part of my life—whether it was ice hockey, skiing, or golf. But 12 years ago, a friendly challenge led me to triathlon, and I’ve been looked ever since.

Running is my strength, but what truly drives me is the challenge—the training, the mindset, and the constant pursuit of progress. Learning to swim along the way only made the journey more rewarding.

Three years ago, I moved to Australia with my family, inspired by its vibrant endurance community. That passion led to mapleROO—creating natural, gut-friendly fuel for athletes like me who want to perform at their bestl

What has been your biggest challenge during training or a race, and how did you overcome it?

Definitely swimming. I only started swimming laps about 12 years ago—and let’s just say, hockey legs aren’t exactly built for gliding through water! At first, I sank more than I swam. But with time, coaching, and a lot of patience (and humility), I’ve managed to stay afloat and even enjoy it now. I still remember kissing the ground after the swim in my first full Ironman—never been so happy to be back on land!

What key habits, training routines, or mindset strategies help you reach your goals?

Consistency is key, but so is having fun. I follow a structured plan with a focus on running, swimming, and biking, but I also make time to mix it up—surfing, tennis, golf, etc. Trying different sports keeps things fresh and helps prevent burnout. I fuel smart with natural products like mapleROO, stay connected to why I train, and always make room to enjoy the journey.
